RE/MAX is a global real estate company, with an emphasis on the professional presentation
of real estate listings, and with an equal emphasis on the best real estate information,
for the benefit of the buyer.
At the end of March, 2007, the RE/MAX statistics were as follows:
In Western Canada (B.C., Alberta, Sask., Manitoba), the number of sales associates was
5,669, with 220 offices, with total transactions, year to date, at 29,942, for a total
volume, year to date, of $6 billion+.
In all of Canada, the number of sales associates was 17,197, with 642 offices.
RE/MAX International numbered 121,189 sales associates, and 6,922 offices, globally.
RE/MAX is now represented in 67 countries, and is on 6 of the world's 7 continents. RE/MAX
associates, around the world, speak over 50 languages. Truly, it's a global company, and
its business is real estate.
It's also a community minded organization, and each office is independently owned and
operated. Thus, it also has a "local" authenticity.
As part of its Community Care Program, RE/MAX International supports the Children's
Miracle Network. This is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to raising
funds for affiliated children's hospitals.
In 2006, for example, the compassionate support of RE/MAX affiliates directly impacted 170
affiliated hospitals making medical miracles for 17 million children.
In B.C., all monies raised go to the B.C. Children's Hospital, and several hundred Gulf
Islands families have been helped by this work. It's a "local charity", thus.
Organ Donor Awareness is another feature of RE/MAX Western's community care program.
The Quest for Excellence program is still another feature of RE/MAX Western's Community
Care response. Twenty-four students in Western Canada benefit from bursaries that enable
them to further their education.
RE/MAX also supports Little League baseball by supporting team involvement in individual
communities.
